So it’s wash day. You’re standing in the mirror and you feel as if it’s a stare down between you and your curls. This week was crazy at the office and of course you didn’t make any time to retwist your hair at all this week. The thought of how long it’ll take you to detangle your curls is already making your biceps tense up, right? We know, we know but don’t worry because we have you covered! Here are three steps to detangle your curls like a boss chick. Here is what you’ll need before you get started:
Carefully section your hair into 4-8 sections. Begin to pull apart the sections to loosen up any hairs that you have shed throughout the week. Do not use a comb during this step. Using your fingers will do the trick. This will lessen the amount of hairs that you’ll have to comb out later.
After cleansing with your favorite Long and Luxe GroWash follow up by applying Long and Luxe Conditioner. This isn’t just a regular conditioner. It is a conditioner that can be used a deep treatment and aids in detangling your curls as well.
Allow the product to penetrate your strands for 15-30 minutes while wearing a plastic cap and sitting under a hooded dryer. Enjoy this time to relax and let the conditioner work it’s magic on your hair. You will be pleasantly surprised to see the knots and tangles you have been hiding in puffs and buns all week have begun to melt right before your eyes. Before rinsing out the conditioner section your hair into 4-8 sections to begin to carefully detangle your hair. Be sure to use a wide tooth comb and work your way up from the ends to your roots. Complete this step by rinsing out the conditioner using.
After completing these easy steps you will find that your curls and coils are detangled and flourishing beautifully! We recommend following up with the Long and Luxe GroYogurt which is a wonderful leave-in conditioner to apply before moving onto the next phase of styling.
